Man Says He Funded Wife's Seven Cosmetic Surgeries Before She Cheated

A 54-year-old stainless steel contractor named Somchai Korchai has come forward seeking legal help, claiming his wife had an affair with a young male employee and took 12 baht of gold that she refuses to return. Somchai says he has been with his wife, now 34, for 12 years. He met her when she was 22 and working at a restaurant, and during their time together he transferred her millions of baht and purchased over 300 baht of gold, which she later sold until only 12 baht remained.

Somchai said they registered their marriage in 2564 but divorced in 2566. About 10 years ago, a man named Nonnon, then 16, came to work at his roasted pork shop and had a previous deep relationship with his wife before moving away and starting his own family. In October 2568, Nonnon, now 26, returned to work as a welder at Somchai's shop for 400 baht per day, and Somchai grew fond of him, treating him like a son.

After the new year, Somchai noticed his wife's behavior changing—she refused his affection in front of Nonnon and asked to drive home, claiming she needed to care for her parents in Kanchanaburi province. Suspicious, Somchai installed a GPS tracker on her car. Over one week of monitoring, he found the car only traveled 7-9 kilometers from their residence, not to Kanchanaburi as claimed. Late one night around 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., after finishing work in Bang Saen, Somchai followed the GPS signal to a rented room where he found his wife's car parked next to Nonnon's motorcycle—a bike Somchai had bought for him. He opened the unlocked room and found them together inside.

Somchai expressed his heartbreak, saying he funded Nonnon by calling him "son" while loving and paying for everything for his wife, including seven cosmetic surgeries, facial work, nose jobs, and most recently permanent lip tattooing and repair procedures. The following day, he and his relatives filed a police complaint to pursue legal action.
