The Thai Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rainfall across Thailand for the next 24 hours, with particularly intense conditions expected in the North, Northeast, East, and South regions. Heavy rain will affect lower northern provinces including Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, and Phichit; northeastern provinces including Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, and Nakhon Ratchasima; central provinces including Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, and Lopburi; eastern provinces including Nakhon Nayok, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chanthaburi, and Trat; and southern provinces including Chumphon and Surat Thani. The public is urged to avoid flooded routes, particularly in low-lying areas prone to sudden inundation. A monsoon trough is moving across the lower North, upper Central, and Northeast, while the southwest monsoon strengthens over the Andaman Sea and Thailand. Waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 2–3 meters high, exceeding 3 meters during thunderstorms, while lower Andaman and upper Gulf of Thailand waters show waves around 2 meters, rising above 2 meters in storms. Fishermen are advised to navigate with caution and avoid thunderstorm areas; small boats in the upper Andaman are ordered to remain ashore until September 20, 2025.
