Military Shooting Association Donates Ammunition to Border Guards
The Thai Combat Shooting Sports Association donated specialized 12-gauge ammunition and maintenance oil to border guards protecting Thailand's northern frontier, including the Cambodia border. The ammunition was jointly developed to counter
General Perm Puangsarojn, president of the Thai Combat Shooting Sports Association, and board members including Deputy President Tasanawom Thewakul met with Deputy Commander Sithiporn Chulapana and Regional Command 1 leadership on September 10 to present 12-gauge shotgun ammunition and weapon maintenance oil. The donation supports troops responsible for protecting over 1,000 kilometers of Thai border, with special focus on the 168-kilometer Thailand-Cambodia boundary.
The ammunition was jointly researched and developed by the association and manufacturers to enhance effectiveness and counter drone threats, a particular concern along the Thailand-Cambodia border. The maintenance oil helps preserve weapon performance during the rainy season, ensuring equipment remains combat-ready at all times.
Deputy Commander Sithiporn thanked the association and praised the research efforts. Association Deputy President Tasanawom explained shotgun training and ammunition specifications to military officers and offered to provide further instruction if requested. Regional Command 1 expressed strong interest and committed to ongoing coordination with the association.
