A mother in Rayong's Talu Market area shocked by 500-baht haircut charge files spark police report after questioning the price on social media. On July 15, 2025, the girl's parent met with police at Phe Police Station following the salon owner's complaint. The owner claimed damage from the mother's social media post asking whether a U-shaped haircut priced at 500 baht was expensive, which drew significant criticism of the salon. The hairdresser declined to provide information or photos to the media. The mother said her 15-year-old daughter needed the haircut to meet school regulations, and since it was evening and most salons were closed, she took her to this salon, leaving her daughter alone during the service before returning home to wait. When the daughter came home crying and reported the 500-baht charge, the mother grew suspicious as she had never paid such a high rate before, so she posted a question on social media, which led to the salon owner's complaint. However, respected community elders have since stepped in to mediate, asking both sides to drop the matter and cease legal proceedings to bring a peaceful resolution.
