Multiple Patients Accuse Beauty Clinic of Botched Nose Surgery

On September 23, 2024, multiple victims from a prominent beauty clinic in Muang Patthalung District filed complaints with media after experiencing inflammation following nose augmentation procedures. The clinic denied responsibility, prompting the patients to file police reports and request investigations by the Patthalung Provincial Health Office and the Consumer Protection Office, which has been operating for more than six years.

One victim recalled that in 2022, a friend recommended the clinic's nose threading promotion priced at 3,999 baht. She underwent the procedure, which the clinic claimed would dissolve within two years. However, two years later the thread remained, and she experienced pain in March 2024. When she contacted the clinic requesting removal at their expense, staff refused and claimed "if this happened to every case, the doctor would be dead." She was denied compensation.

She later visited another clinic to have the threads removed and discovered that all four strands were not dissolvable thread but fishing line, explaining the inflammation. Another victim, 34-year-old Ms. Pla, also underwent nose threading that became inflamed. The clinic refused responsibility, and surgical removal revealed the material was also fishing line. A 23-year-old male patient brought his girlfriend for the procedure; after learning of complications from other patients, he sought removal elsewhere and found the same fishing line issue. He later had it redone with legitimate blue dissolvable thread.

After investigating the clinic with provincial health officials, the three patients discovered the clinic operates without a licensed cosmetic surgeon or specialist credentials recognized by the Medical Council, yet has been openly operating for years. They are requesting investigations into all beauty clinics in Patthalung Province to ensure patient safety.
