Multiple Victims File Complaints Against Famous Influencer
10 Aug Khaosod

Multiple victims have filed complaints against a famous influencer and streamer with over 10 million followers, alleging serious assault, indecent acts, and intimidation within the organization. On August 10, 2025, at the Sai Mai Must Survive coordination center in Bangkok's Sai Mai district, several victims submitted evidence to Ekaphop Luangprasert, founder of the Sai Mai Must Survive page, seeking justice and transparency.

One victim, a 29-year-old former employee named Aree (surname withheld), reported working with the influencer since 2566. She described how the influencer has severe emotional outbursts and poor self-control, repeatedly venting anger through verbal abuse, throwing objects, head-flicking, and spitting on food. She also reported being threatened with a knife. Despite these incidents occurring in front of multiple staff members, no one dared to intervene.

Another victim, 24-year-old Vespa (surname withheld), worked for two years and revealed that since 2567 he was required to provide his personal bank account to receive sponsor payments from unknown sources, then transfer or pay expenses as instructed via LINE. Over 1 million baht circulated through his account, with transfers reaching 1.4 million baht. Although he initially refused, he complied out of fear of the influencer's violent behavior. He resigned in December out of legal concerns and requested a transparent financial audit.

A 19-year-old trainee named A (pseudonym) worked for 8-9 months as a content creator and housekeeper. She claimed she was deceived into traveling from another province and staying at the studio under the guise of family care, but was threatened and sexually harassed multiple times, including forced hugging, biting, late-night bedroom intrusions for cheek kissing, and attempted sexual assault. She never received formal salary, only daily living expenses and launch bonuses totaling 60,000-70,000 baht. She has now filed a police report and consulted a lawyer.

Hat (surname withheld), 24, a former photographer who worked for about four months, recounted an incident on June 18 when he was severely criticized while filming camera angle content and challenged to fight. Despite apologizing with a wai gesture, he was assaulted with punches to the face, strangulation, boxing equipment strikes to the head, and spitting. He was fired the same day with threats and has filed a police report after a medical examination.

Ekaphop Luangprasert, founder of Sai Mai Must Survive, stated that all allegations come from the victims' side, while the accused has not yet responded.

PM Anutin Dismisses Green Snake Coalition Rumors With a Laugh

Prime Minister Anutin dismissed rumors of opposition MPs defecting to his Bhumjaithai party on August 10, laughing off the reports as unfounded speculation at Government House.

PM Anutin Dismisses Green Snake Coalition Rumors With a Laugh
10 Aug Khaosod

At 11:20 a.m. on August 10 at Santitham Building, Government House, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Chauyvarakul, speaking as Bhumjaithai party leader, addressed rumors that ten MPs from the opposition Palang Pracharath would join his party. He responded with a question: "Where did these green snakes come from?" and shook his head, saying he did not want them.

When asked if he currently needed opposition defectors, Anutin laughed and said he knew nothing about green snakes or any snakes—it was only what reporters mentioned, and he had not heard the news himself. When pressed about images from August 9 showing Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United Football Club, meeting with Bunyying Nititkanjana, a Ratchaburi MP from the Rak Tham Party, at a Thai League warm-up match in Ratchaburi province, Anutin dismissed the connection. He said Newin travels everywhere as a football club chairman during the season and sometimes attends warm-up matches to build unity. Anutin dodged a follow-up question about a Thai League connection and instead pulled a bottle of green oil from his trouser pocket, remarking, "I only have green oil. Once applied, the head doesn't hurt."

When asked about senior Pheu Thai party members and MPs posting messages suggesting a coordinated attack after his earlier post about hitting one's head against a wall, Anutin laughed and said: "They've jumped again! I wasn't even talking about them. People need to be mindful and conscious. I wasn't talking about anyone. Why they jump at things, I don't know. I was talking about myself."

Asked whether he would respond, Anutin said to stay calm and act with mindfulness. When pressed about this morning's Facebook post where he shared teachings from Chavaratana Chauyyvarakul touching on awareness and perspective, Anutin traced the origin of his phrase "live well, cool enough, wait to succeed." He said it was not new—he did not understand why people were making a fuss. As someone who has played on Facebook and social media for a long time, he has friends who share his posts, and he cannot control it. Some may think he is talking about specific people, but he never does. He only speaks about himself as his guide for living, and he does not see what he said was wrong.

On August 10, 2025, Mueang Chaiyaphum police received reports of an armed monk at Chaiyaphum Narendhorn Hospital's pharmacy. Officers quickly responded and found Phra Prida, a monk from Noen Kham district, waiting for his regular medication. A black gun-like object was protruding from under his robes, causing panic among hospital patients and staff.

Police carefully inspected the weapon and discovered it was a plastic fake gun attached to a phone case, prompting relief among those present. Officers asked Phra Prida to remove the gun from the case and confiscated it, warning him that such actions cause public alarm and should not be repeated, regardless of intent.

Phra Prida apologized and explained he had ordered the phone case from TikTok and attached the fake gun for fun because it felt comfortable to hold, with no malicious intent. He acknowledged the alarm he caused and promised not to carry such items again, expressing concern about frightening people.

10 Aug Khaosod

Krungsri Consumer revealed that first-half credit card spending reached 196.7 billion baht, growing 3% year-on-year, with 284,100 new customer accounts up 4%. New loan disbursements totaled 47.2 billion baht, up 4%, while outstanding loans stood at 134.2 billion baht, down 1%. The company's overdue debt ratio beyond 90 days remained at 1.1% for credit cards and 1.9% for personal loans, both below industry averages.

Top spending categories ranked by volume include insurance, supermarkets and convenience stores, fuel pumps, online platforms, and home furnishings. The fastest-growing segments are online platforms (+16%), mutual funds (+14%), beauty and cosmetics (+12%), sports and recreation (+10%), and fuel (+7%). The data shows consumers continue cautious spending, prioritizing essentials like fuel, daily goods, and insurance, though lifestyle categories like beauty and wellness are gaining traction as consumers increasingly shift to online purchases and health-conscious choices.

Fashion and cosmetics spending has slowed, reflecting consumers' prioritization amid economic uncertainty. Installment payment options are growing in popularity, especially for travel, health and beauty, and veterinary services. For the second half, the company expects continued economic challenges from high living costs and weak consumer confidence, but aims to achieve 627,000 new customer accounts (+9%), credit card spending of 420 billion baht (+6%), and new loans of 98 billion baht (+4%) for the full year by developing payment innovations, expanding partnerships, and targeting high-net-worth customers.

Senator Denies Involvement in Alleged Collusion with EC
10 Aug Khaosod

Senator Wutthichai Kalyanamit has denied involvement in allegations that he colluded with the Election Commission and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to provide information, directly responding to opposition leader Prayut Chan-o-cha's accusations. Wutthichai stated he is ready to clarify and present relevant information to the media at an appropriate time and expressed uncertainty whether the DSI has formally requested his cooperation, noting that he feels he has been treated as a suspect throughout the process.

Wutthichai emphasized that advancing the nation requires respect for legal protocols and proper institutional procedures. He criticized the use of institutional reputation-damaging tactics over legitimate legal mechanisms, expressing concern that such actions may be designed to pressure independent bodies for political ends. He stressed that any corruption or illegal conduct, whether by the general public or by the Election Commission itself, must result in accountability.

As a senator, Wutthichai said he works to fulfill his duties in legislative review, government oversight, and considerations of independent agencies within constitutional boundaries. He stated he has endeavored to produce the best outcomes for the nation and people, while emphasizing that political maneuvering and power-seeking through various tactics are not his strength. "On every allegation that I have violated the law, I have already clarified the matter with the Election Commission and the DSI. I will only provide clarifications to competent authorities," Wutthichai concluded.

Minister Hits Back at Rival Over Election Money Accusations
10 Aug Khaosod

Deputy PM Secretary Suksomrwoy Wanthaneeyakul of Phum Jai Thai hit back at Prasit Wattharasindu of Pheu Thai on August 10, 2026, at Government House, over allegations that her staff transferred nearly 900,000 baht to Election Commission officials in Amnat Charoen during the 2023 Senate election. She denied any such arrangement and stated she had never been summoned by the Election Commission or DSI to clarify any money transfers in the past two years.

Suksomrwoy challenged Prasit to verify where his information came from, suggesting he ask his sources—including lawyer Anucha Boonrueam and activist Yingcheep Ajananont—exactly what documents they possessed and whether the Election Commission had even investigated them. She warned against spreading unverified political claims that could mislead the public and urged reliance on complete facts rather than speculation.

When asked about legal action, Suksomrwoy confirmed she had already filed a police complaint against Prasit, Anucha, and Yingcheep in Amnat Charoen province. She said police would determine whether their statements constituted defamation. She cautioned Yingcheep's supporters that the information they shared might come from political opponents and could be false, urging them to be careful. She suggested that the timing of the allegations was deliberate, ahead of the Election Commission's expected ruling on the election case, and that observers understood the motives behind the public campaign.
