On July 15, 2025, Phetchkasem Police, led by Police Major Pramoet Chanbuunkhaew and his deputies, arrested Chit Ko Ko, a 28-year-old Myanmar national, at a rental apartment in Bangkok's Bang Khae district. Officers recovered 276 orange methamphetamine pills marked "WY", 0.88 grams of crystal methamphetamine in two plastic bags, a digital scale, 190 small plastic distribution bags, five drug-use kits with bottles and straws, 64 foil sheets, and five lighters.
The arrest followed complaints from residents about groups of teenagers frequenting the room to use drugs. When police arrived, the suspect attempted to flee into the bathroom and tried to destroy evidence by throwing drug packets down the drain, but officers quickly apprehended him and recovered the discarded drugs.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted all narcotics were his. He purchased methamphetamine from an agent named "Nai Yae" via Facebook at 3,500 baht per bag (200 pills) and resold it in smaller packets of 10 or 50 pills for profit. He distributed crystal methamphetamine using a digital scale. The suspect began operating approximately two months ago after recognizing good income potential and provided the apartment as a consumption venue for teenage customers, participating in drug use with them. A urine test confirmed methamphetamine in his system. He was charged with drug distribution and possession for sale of Category 1 narcotics and illegal drug use. Police are investigating his supply network for further arrests.
