Ayutthaya – A neighbor opened fire with four shots at a 49‑year‑old man who was bathing inside his house, inflicting severe injuries. The victim later died at Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital. Police responded quickly, securing the scene and beginning an investigation to apprehend the shooter.

According to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel Jakrapong Thupathem, deputy inspector, received the report of the shooting on 14 October 2069 in the Luang Suriyamuni community. He notified Police Colonel Pongphop Prasopphichai, station commander, who deployed patrol officers, detectives, volunteers from the Phutthaisathan and Ruamkatanyu foundations, and doctors from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital.

Upon arrival, officers found residents assisting the wounded man out of the house so that emergency medical teams could treat him and transport him urgently to the hospital. The victim, identified as a resident of Tambon Paeling in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, had been shot four times in the torso and succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

Witnesses said the attacker, a neighbor nicknamed “Wat” who lived opposite the victim, fired from his own home while the man was bathing. The two families had known each other for years and lived in the same community, but had previously argued repeatedly. After the shooting, the suspect fled on a motorcycle.

Police have sealed off the area, collected evidence, and interviewed nearby residents. They are actively pursuing the suspect, identified as Wat, to bring him to justice.
