Nursing Student Suffers Assault by Boyfriend in Udon Thani
A 22‑year‑old nursing student in Udon Thani reported that her boyfriend repeatedly assaulted her, most recently on October 3, leaving her bloodied and bruised. She presented CCTV evidence to the press and filed a police report, vowing to pursue the case to the fullest extent of the law. The suspect, a 22‑year‑old debt collector, is now under investigation for domestic violence.
On October 3, 2026, at around 9 p.m., the victim, identified only as Ms. B, was attacked by her boyfriend, Mr. A, a 22‑year‑old daily‑wage debt collector, outside her dormitory in Mueang district, Udon Thani Province. She said they had met through a dating app and dated for about five months, but she had tried to break up several times because he frequently used violence. This was the second serious attack; the first occurred in July. Before the latest incident she had been on an internship elsewhere and had cut off contact for two weeks. When she returned to her dorm, she forgot to lock her room; Mr. A entered, took her iPad and left a note on the keycard telling her to call him if she wanted it back. Within five minutes he returned on a motorcycle, tried to talk inside the room, but she refused and they went to the road outside the dormitory. There he attempted to move to a dark area to avoid CCTV, showed her photos from the iPad, and an argument ensued. He slapped her, then pulled her hair, kicked her face and head about twice, and struck her with his elbow. Friends tried to intervene but he continued to strike her face until she bled. She later filed a police report, insisting she would not forgive him and demanding full legal action. She urged former partners not to repeat such violence, stating no one deserves to be harmed, and said she would never rekindle the relationship.
