One Dead, One Shocked by Electric Short in Two-Day Flood
One person died and another was electrocuted by a short circuit during two-day flooding in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan, on September 27, killing one and leaving another unconscious.
A tragic electrical short circuit claimed one life and left another person unconscious in a residential community in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan province, after two days of severe flooding. On September 27, 2025, rescue teams from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation deployed high-clearance rescue vehicles to assist one person who had been electrocuted in Soi Kingaew 19. After providing emergency first aid, responders evacuated the injured victim through the floodwaters and handed them over to ambulance crews from Prakan Rescue Center for transport to hospital. A second victim was found deceased at the scene, and officials recovered the body for further processing.
The residential area had been inundated with standing water for approximately two days when the incident occurred. Witnesses reported seeing a crane-equipped truck attempting to recover a submerged vehicle nearby, though the exact circumstances remain unclear. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the electrical short and to proceed with standard procedures.
