Opposition Files No-Confidence Motion Against 18 Bhumjaithai Ministers
Opposition parties have filed a no‑confidence motion against 18 Bhumjaithai ministers, accusing Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul of creating a corrupt 'mouse' system that plunders the country and undermines checks and balances. The motion, submitted to House Speaker Sophon Sararum on October 8, 2026, cites constitutional Article 151 and alleges widespread ethical breaches, mismanagement, and abuse of state power. Similar charges of misconduct are leveled against the other ministers, including deputy premiers and cabinet officials.
According to the motion, Anutin Charnvirakul is accused of dishonesty, serious ethical violations, corrupt practices, mismanagement, disrespect for the constitution and law, failure to lead, appointing unqualified allies, and using state power for personal gain. The motion claims he and his network have built a so‑called 'mouse' regime that rigs elections for MPs and senators, manipulates civil service exams, and diverts state budgets for personal enrichment, while undermining the judiciary, oversight bodies, and independent organizations. Similar accusations of misconduct, abuse of power, and failure to uphold duties are levelled against the other 17 ministers, including Deputy Premiers Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Songsak Thongsri, Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, Supanthee Suthamphun, Pakorn Nipaporn, Defence Minister Lt Gen Adul Bunthammacharoen, Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phanichkrangkul, Digital Economy Minister Chaiyachok Chidsab, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Suchart Chomklin, Justice Minister Pol Col Rutthipol Nauarat, and various ministers attached to the Prime Minister's Office.
