Parliament Sets Special Sessions for October 2 and November 20
Parliament has scheduled special sessions for October 2 and November 20 to consider auditor reports and draft bills proposed by lawmakers and citizens.
Mallika Jiraipanthawanich, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, chaired the third meeting of 2569 of the joint coordination committee between government and opposition factions on September 17 at Parliament House. The committee discussed the scheduling of special parliamentary sessions to consider draft laws proposed by House members and eligible voters. Attending were Rawee Parisananung of the Bhumjaithai Party as government coordinator, Pricha Watcharasinthoo of the People's Party as opposition coordinator, Saran Timsuwanne of the Pheu Thai Party as government coordinator, Piyarat Jongtep of the People's Party, and Nattapong Sumnotham of the People's Party as opposition coordinators. The committee set October 2 as a special session date to consider the auditor's reports and financial statements of the former parliamentarians fund for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2568 (2025), along with consideration of 2-3 bills. A second special session was also scheduled for November 20.
