Pete Thongchuea Family Shares Parenting Secrets on Talk Show
Pete Thongjai and Jeng Wilailak revealed their parenting approach — instilling discipline without force — as their three children pursue entertainment careers, with eldest Seya becoming a young producer while Mya and Rotor model at fashion
Actor Pete Thongchuea brought his entire family — wife Jeng Wilailak and children Seya, 22, Miya, 20, and Rotter, 17 — onto the Channel One31 program 'Khui Saep Show' to open up about their parenting approach. Beyond their good looks and 'premium DNA,' each child displays remarkable all-around abilities.
Eldest daughter Seya recently stepped up as a producer, potentially the youngest in the entertainment industry. She described it as a longtime dream, having prepared since her first year of university, directing music videos for Miya over the past two to three years. Pete said he mostly watches from behind, letting her gain experience while a strong team supports her. Seya said she loves the work despite the inevitable small problems, which teach her a lot.
Miya and Rotter assist Seya on set, handling makeup, graphics, and checking details when she's busy. Their current project is a fantasy action series involving magic.
Asked about the stress of producing, Seya joked her hair is already turning gray at 30 percent, prompting laughter from the family.
The family also attended AL Fashion Week together. Miya, walking her first runway, admitted initial stress but relaxed backstage and walked naturally. She has loved modeling since childhood, often watching models at stores with her mother. Jeng recalled Miya saying she wanted to be a Victoria's Secret model. Pete joked that if she gets selected for a world-class stage, he won't stop her.
Pete filmed Miya from rehearsals, acting as driver, photographer, and bodyguard, reviewing footage from multiple angles to assess her walk and mood. Rotter teased that Miya looked like a rocking horse in clips, while Miya said Rotter also likes to walk in a cool, quirky way. Seya, who prefers art and drawing, said she doesn't see herself modeling.
