Phuket Builder Files Forgery Complaint Against Business Partner
A Phuket builder has accused his business partner of forging his signature on company registration documents submitted to the provincial commercial office. The complaint was filed at Mueang Phuket Police Station after the builder discovered the alleged forgery when he received an email notification about changes to the company's registered email address. Police are now investigating the forgery allegations involving the co-founders of a local real estate and construction firm.
On November 5, 2026, Apichat Sae-Lhu, 40, known as Chang A, went to see Police Lieutenant Colonel Anukul Nuket, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Mueang Phuket Police Station, to file a complaint against Athip Ananwan, 53, husband of Pannada Wongpudi, for forgery and use of forged documents. The case involves documents submitted to change company information at the Phuket Provincial Commercial Office in Talad Yai subdistrict, Mueang Phuket district, on April 24, 2026.
Preliminary investigation reveals that prior to the incident, Apichat and Athip co-founded The Other Real Estate Company Limited, with both serving as directors and shareholders operating a residential construction and sales business.
In early September 2026, Apichat received an email notification from the Phuket Provincial Commercial Office sent to the company email he used, notifying that Athip needed to sign via the electronic registration system for business operations. This raised suspicion, prompting Apichat to verify the information with the Phuket Provincial Commercial Office.
The check revealed that documents had been submitted to change the company's email address, bearing the signatures of both Athip and Apichat. However, Apichat confirmed that the signature attributed to him on the documents was not his genuine signature, leading him to believe the documents had been forged. He therefore filed a complaint with the investigating officer to pursue legal action against Athip for forgery and use of forged documents.
