True Corp Expands 5G Nationwide With AI Network Planning
True Corp rolls out TRUE5GX 5G nationwide using AI Network Digital Twin to boost speed and capacity for 48.8M users.
Krabi, November 5, 2026 – True Corporation is continuously developing its 5G network infrastructure across Thailand to enhance connectivity experiences that meet diverse digital needs in each area, from major cities and business districts to industrial zones, rural communities, tourist destinations, islands, and sea routes. The company is deploying TRUE5GX technology to boost speed, capacity, and service efficiency to support growing data usage, alongside using AI in engineering design and network optimization through the "Network Digital Twin" concept — technology that creates a virtual digital twin of the telecom network to simulate situations, assess potential impacts, and find network improvement opportunities before actual deployment, laying the groundwork for future Autonomous Network development to elevate network performance and deliver better experiences to customers nationwide.
Mr. Kurem Achfaq, Head of Network Executive Management at True Corporation Public Company Limited, stated: "True's goal is not merely to expand 5G signal coverage, but to develop a network that efficiently responds to customers' actual usage needs and supports continuously changing lifestyles. Today, customers use data significantly more, while each area has different requirements. True is therefore developing the network across speed, capacity, stability, and management by integrating advanced 5G technology with data analytics and AI to elevate the connectivity experience for customers nationwide."
Currently, True serves a total of 48.8 million mobile subscribers, of which 20.5 million are 5G users as of Q3 2026, while average data usage continues to grow steadily at approximately 38 gigabytes per person per month in the first half of 2026, up about 35% compared to pre-merger periods, reflecting higher network demand to support digital lifestyles in terms of speed, capacity, and connection stability.
True Corporation aims to develop TRUE5GX with 5G Standalone (SA) technology to improve data transmission efficiency. True's network is ready to support carrier aggregation technology across 2CC, 3CC, and 4CC — combining multiple frequency bands to increase network speed and capacity — and has already begun providing 2CC and 3CC services to customers. Network testing shows potential for increased speed and capacity, supporting dense usage in various areas while maximizing existing spectrum resources for peak efficiency. TRUE5GX also features "Priority Access" for better 5G connectivity even during peak congestion, ensuring fast and continuous connections.
Network Twin Enhances Planning Efficiency, Elevates Connection Quality
Another key direction in True Corporation's network development is Network Twin — creating a virtual digital representation of the physical telecom network in the digital world to enable detailed visualization, analysis, and simulation of network operations, covering key components including Radio Network, Core Network, and Transport Network.
Network Twin follows a concept similar to Google Maps, which takes real-world data to create a map that
