High Wall on Gift Land Causes Frequent Traffic Accidents
A 6-meter wall on a Pathum Thani property violates height limits and blocks sightlines on a winding road, causing repeated crashes while the municipality has not inspected.
On November 5, 2026, reporters found a nearly 2-rai plot on Khlong 8 Road near the turn to the Do Good Foundation in Lam Phak Kut, Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani. Locals said the land belongs to Got Athip, husband of Bum Panadda Wongphudi, who bought it for about 3.5 million baht as a birthday present for her. The property is enclosed by a wall exceeding 6 meters in height, with roughly 1 meter of soil fill, and backs onto the Khlong 8 irrigation canal.
Residents explained the plot was previously owned by a woman named Panya, who later sold it and passed away before Got acquired it. Got reportedly plans to use the site for water-rescue training for emergency responders, as a residence for his mother, and as a base for his foundation. Observers note the wall height surpasses the 3-meter limit set by building regulations, yet Thanyaburi Municipality has not inspected or acted on the matter. Construction apparently began early in 2026. The high wall obstructs sightlines on a sharp, winding road, causing multiple accidents and forcing drivers to proceed with extreme caution.
Duang, a 62-year-old local, said the wall is so tall it resembles a prison barrier and blocks drivers' views, especially at several tight curves where oncoming traffic cannot be seen clearly. She did not know the landowner or the purpose of the wall, only that construction rose rapidly over the past month. She recalled seeing Bum Panadda drop off donated goods at the opposite vacant lot for flood relief distribution earlier, when the area was still an open grassy field convenient for staging supplies.
