CCTV footage captured the moment a pickup truck lost control on a rain‑slicked road and slammed into a tree in Phatthalung Province, killing the driver. Police reported that at 3:00 p.m. on October 4, 2026, officers from the Khao Chaison Police Station responded to the crash on the north‑bound Phetkasem Road near Ban Rai Lum village, Moo 7, Tambon Khao Chaison. The black Isuzu pickup, owned by a vehicle‑inspection‑station operator who ran several outlets across the south, was found with its engine detached and the driver pinned against the steering wheel. He was identified as 36‑year‑old Worawut (surname withheld). Rescue workers and medical staff from Khao Chaison Hospital removed his body and retrieved his personal items, including cash and a gold necklace, for his relatives. Investigations showed that before the crash the victim had left his vehicle‑inspection station in Mae Khree, Thasode District, heading toward Nakhon Si Thammarat when light rain made the road slippery, causing the truck to skid and hit the tree.
