Police Arrest Stepdad for Sexual Abuse of 14-Year-Old in Chonburi
Commandos arrested a 32‑year‑old stepfather in Chonburi for allegedly sexually molesting his 14‑year‑old stepdaughter, who said he only entered her room to look for a cat. The suspect faces charges of indecent act on a minor using force and abuse of authority. The victim has been staying with a friend since the incident and reported the crime, leading to his arrest.
Commandos raided and arrested a stepfather accused of sexually molesting his 14-year-old stepdaughter, who claimed he only entered the room to look for a cat. On October 3, 2026, Pol. Lt. Gen. Arun Wachirasisakunya, commander of the Provincial Police Bureau, ordered Pol. Col. Apichon Khan-ka, chief of Division 4, and Pol. Lt. Col. Paiboon Pimphumidet, deputy chief of Division 4, to lead the arrest of Mr. A (alias), 32, subject to an arrest warrant from Chonburi Provincial Court No. 551/2569 dated September 30, 2026. He is charged with 'committing an indecent act on a child under fifteen years of age by threatening or using force, rendering the child unable to resist, and committing the act against a child under his care or authority.' The arrest was made outside a house in Phan Thong district, Chonburi.
The investigation revealed that in 2025, the victim, identified only as Miss A (alias), 14, moved in with her mother and her stepfather at his residence in Chonburi. Initially they cohabited without major issues, despite occasional arguments between the girl and her stepfather. Around August 2026, while the victim was alone in her room, the stepfather entered, used force to sexually molest her, and attempted further sexual abuse. The victim struggled, managed to escape, and fled the room.
After the incident, she refused to return home, fearing a repeat, and stayed with a friend for safety before reporting the crime to police. During interrogation, the suspect denied the allegations, claiming he and his stepdaughter often argued due to differing opinions. He said he entered her room merely to look for a cat, found the cat inside, and they only argued; he insisted he did not molest or commit any act against her as alleged. He was subsequently handed over to the Phan Thong Police Station for further legal proceedings.
