Police Officer's Family Car Hit By Roadside Bomb in Narathiwat
A roadside bomb hit a police officer's car on Highway 4056 in Narathiwat on August 22, injuring two passengers who were hospitalized for treatment.
A roadside bomb detonated on Highway 4056 in Narathiwat province at 8:35 p.m. on August 22, striking a Toyota sedan driven by Sukhirin Police officer Osman Useng, who was traveling home with four other passengers. The blast and shrapnel damaged the vehicle on its left side.
Two people were injured in the explosion: Fasila Useng and Norhayyati Duelo. Both were transported to Narathiwat Rajanagarindra Hospital, where they are undergoing medical evaluation.
Security officials are investigating the cause and collecting evidence from the scene. Authorities have increased security measures in the area and are urging the public to exercise caution while traveling.
