Police Page Shares 3 Photo Tips for Pothole Damage Claims
Police Facebook page Sarawat Tuen Phay shared three essential photo tips for claiming government compensation after pothole damage: pothole close-up, vehicle damage with license plate, and wide-angle scene shot with landmarks.
The Sarawat Tuen Phay Facebook page posted informational guidance after receiving numerous questions from followers asking: "Car fell into a pothole, tire burst, suspension broken - how to photograph for sure government compensation?"
The page answered clearly: A road with an unmarked pothole means the state neglected its duty, constituting a wrongful act for which the state must compensate.
Before moving the vehicle, you must take these three essential photos immediately:
1. Clear pothole photo: Show the depth and surrounding conditions with no warning signs. 2. Vehicle damage photo: Photograph the broken/damaged areas with the license plate clearly visible. 3. Wide-angle photo: Capture the vehicle, the pothole, and light poles or road signs at the accident location.
Take these three photos along with dashcam footage to the daily log, then file a claim with the road-owning agency (Highway 1586 / Rural Roads 1146 / Municipality-SAO).
"Our taxes paid, roads must be safe. Car damaged by pothole - don't accept it as fate. Protect your rights!"
