Police Raid Bangkok, Arrest 7 Foreigners on International Warrants
Thai and Vietnamese authorities coordinated with Bangkok police to arrest seven foreign nationals wanted for crimes including drug trafficking, fraud, and illegal financial schemes, with damages totaling nearly 40 million baht.
On July 14, 2026, Police General Prasathorn Khemaprasethi, Deputy Police General Kirtisak Kongkiatsiree, and Police Colonel Phonsit Sutthiart launched a crackdown on unwanted foreign criminals across Bangkok following coordination with the Chinese and Vietnamese embassies through the National Police's Foreign Affairs Division. The operation, dubbed "Bangkok: No Place to Hide," resulted in seven arrests:
1. Dong An, 39, Vietnamese national wanted in Vietnam for drug trafficking and illegal possession. Approximately 2 million baht in narcotics were seized. Arrested in Charansanitwong, Bangkok.
2. Wang, 38, Chinese national wanted in China for illegal money deposits causing 10 million baht in damages. Arrested while fleeing between Bangkok and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
3. Li, 33, Chinese national wanted in China for bribery causing 10 million baht in damages. Arrested at a luxury residence in Ratchathewi, Bangkok.
4. Huang, 36, Chinese national wanted in China for fraud causing 3 million baht in damages. Arrested at a luxury condominium in Sukhumvit, Bangkok.
5. Talin, 39, Chinese national wanted in China for fraud causing 6 million baht in damages. Arrested at a luxury residence in Prawet, Bangkok.
6. Li, 37, Chinese national wanted in China for fraud causing 6 million baht in damages. Arrested at a luxury residence in Prawet, Bangkok.
7. Yang, 40, Chinese national wanted in China for embezzlement causing 2 million baht in damages. Arrested in the Hua Lamphong area and will be deported in line with immigration policy.
