Politician Blasts Election Commission Over High-Profile Acquittal
A People's Party MP accused the Election Commission of protecting high-profile figures in an election fraud case, alleging some commissioners were complicit in the rigging scheme.
On September 15, 2025, Lukcharnok Srinok, a People's Party list MP, posted on Facebook following the Election Commission's decision not to prosecute a major figure in an election fraud case. She stated that it was now clear the election-rigging scheme involved not just political parties but some Election Commission members as well, suggesting the Senate selected commissioners to protect their own cases. She expressed frustration at how senior figures escaped accountability, urging the public to exercise and maintain good health to witness the eventual collapse of the current system. In her post, she called for whistleblowers from the Senate to come forward, promising society would forgive them depending on how far up the chain they expose, and thanked Sithichote Intrawiseth for his minority vote to prosecute the case.
