Rayong Cave Draws Crowds Seeking Lottery Numbers
Rayong's Swan Cave has become a lottery hotspot after residents claim incense-guided numbers matched recent draws, prompting a government investigation into the site's mysterious sounds and growing crowds of superstitious players.
Following buzz from the previous draw, local residents are returning to Swan Cave to seek lottery guidance by burning incense for three-digit numbers. Multiple government agencies have launched a fresh investigation into the cave, which is rumored to emit bell sounds and Thai classical music. On September 15, more than 20 officials from the Department of Mineral Resources, Rayong Provincial Culture Office, district security personnel, and the Fine Arts Department Region 5 surveyed the site again, guided by village headman Wattchara Saengsawat of Ban Muang 10, following an earlier preliminary survey by the culture office.
The cave entrance was notably crowded, with residents worshipping at a small shrine and statue using colored water offerings according to local spiritual beliefs. One resident revealed that incense guidance in the previous draw yielded the number 404, which matched lottery preferences and caused considerable excitement. This time they returned for a second attempt and obtained the numbers 194 and 607, delighting lottery enthusiasts who plan to play these numbers in the government lottery draw on September 16. This practice reflects a blend of local legend and group-specific spiritual faith.
