Prime Minister Leads Merit Ceremony Honoring Princess Siripatmi

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his wife presided over a 100-day merit-making ceremony at Government House's Santitham Building on September 18, 2025, dedicating merit to Princess Siripatmi. The event was attended by cabinet ministers, spouses, heads of government agencies under the Prime Minister's Office, and civil servants from Government House and related organizations.
Senior Buddhist clergy led the religious portion of the ceremony. The prime minister lit incense and flowers before the princess's portrait, followed by monks administering precepts and chanting Buddhist scriptures.
During the ceremony, senior monks led merit-sharing blessings for approximately 47 seconds. The prime minister and his wife, along with cabinet ministers, then offered traditional Thai desserts and alms to 47 monks and draped 10 ceremonial cloths. The prime minister poured water in a blessing ritual and paid respects before the portrait.
After the formal ceremony concluded, the prime minister and other attendees made alms offerings to the monks outside the Santitham Building and the Thai-Khu-Fa Building. The entire ceremony ended at approximately 8:20 a.m.
