Body Found After Man Falls Into Drainage Pipe Near BTS Station
A 32-year-old man died after falling into a 3-meter-deep drainage pipe near Punnawit BTS station in Bangkok; rescue teams recovered his body after several hours.
A 32-year-old man has been found dead after falling into a 3-meter-deep drainage pipe near Punnawit BTS station, despite rescue efforts by emergency personnel. The emergency line 199 received a report at 7:04 a.m. on September 18, 2025, of a man who had fallen into a drainage pipe beneath Punnawit BTS station on Sukhumvit Road in Klong Toei district, Bangkok. Phra Khanong firefighters and rescue workers rushed to the scene with police to assist. The drainage pipe was found to be 2–3 meters deep. At 8:58 a.m., rescue teams located the body and recovered it from the pipe. The victim was identified as a 32-year-old stateless person.
