Thai Airways is expanding its fleet to handle the high season, launching 66 routes and adding a Bangkok-Da Nang service. Chief Executive Officer Chai Eamsiri revealed plans for operational development, product enhancement, and network expansion as the airline adapts its business strategy to navigate global uncertainty and maintain financial stability. The company reported a net profit of 1,537 million baht in the second quarter and plans to restructure its fleet into four aircraft categories to improve efficiency and service quality, including enhancements to seating, in-flight entertainment systems, and meal offerings.
Chief Commercial Officer Kittipong Sarsomboon announced that during the winter schedule from October 25, 2569 to March 27, 2570, Thai Airways will operate 66 routes covering both international and domestic destinations. A new Bangkok-Da Nang, Vietnam service will launch on December 1, 2569, with 14 weekly return flights to accommodate growing demand and serve both leisure and business travelers. The airline will also increase frequencies to regional CLMV countries: Bangkok-Vientiane and Bangkok-Yangon will offer 21 weekly flights per route, while Bangkok-Siem Reap will have 7 weekly flights.
For European routes, Thai Airways will maintain Bangkok-Amsterdam at 7 weekly flights and increase Bangkok-Munich to 10 weekly flights, Bangkok-Zurich to 11 weekly flights, and Bangkok-Paris to 14 weekly flights. In Asia, the airline will resume Bangkok-Xiamen service with 4 weekly flights. Beyond network expansion, Thai Airways is developing new products including the Junior Sky Explorers program for children and families, blending learning with aviation entertainment through in-flight systems and THAI Sky Shop merchandise. The airline is also enhancing its Royal Orchid Holidays tour program with new in-depth packages to Pakistan covering natural attractions, cultural heritage, history, and curated local experiences to create a complete travel journey from flight to destination.
