Phyathai 2 Hospital Launches Wellderly Sports Program for Personalized Health
Phyathai 2 Hospital launched a personalized sports wellness program combining genetic data, cardiorespiratory testing, and AI body analysis to develop tailored exercise plans based on individual health status and fitness capacity.
Phyathai 2 Hospital is advancing its Healthy Aging concept through enhanced Wellderly Sports Medicine under the "Wellderly Fit-Flow-Flex: Next-Gen Cardio Wellness" initiative. The program integrates medical expertise, health data, and technology to help individuals better understand their body's potential and readiness, using this information to develop personalized exercise and health management strategies for the long term.
Healthy Aging, according to the hospital, is not merely about living longer but about maintaining physical fitness, heart health, mobility, and quality of life to sustain an active lifestyle across all ages. A key feature of the program is the integration of Wellderly Sports data with assessments of heart health and current performance capacity to support personalized health approaches. Rather than relying solely on genetic information to determine sport suitability, the program considers genetics alongside individual health status, lifestyle, and personal goals.
By combining all available data with each person's health history, lifestyle, and objectives, doctors gain a comprehensive view of health and can develop individualized Personalized Sport Plans under the Fit-Flow-Flex framework. Phyathai 2 Hospital connects care across heart and cardiovascular-pulmonary health, body movement, bones and muscles, and genetic information to ensure holistic rather than fragmented care.
The program is presented by Dr. Thawanthorn Suwannachuti, Director of the Heart Center at Phyathai 2 Hospital, and Dr. Prachan Banchashuk, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician at the hospital, with guest remarks from Pluemjit Thinkao, former Thai national women's volleyball player, sharing her experience transitioning from competitive athletics to long-term active health management.
The assessment goes beyond genetics to evaluate current body status through Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), which measures the coordinated function of the heart, lungs, circulation, and muscles during exercise, including VO₂ Max as a key cardiorespiratory fitness indicator. This is paired with 3D body structure and posture assessment using Moti Physio, an AI-powered technology that analyzes physical balance, spinal alignment, and muscle function to reveal both baseline body condition and current measurable performance.
Dr. Thawanthorn stated that health and exercise management should not begin with questions about intensity but with understanding how the body currently functions, heart readiness, performance level, and personal goals, since each person has different physiological foundations and exercise responses. He added that while Wellderly Sports provides baseline body insights, the key is integrating this data with heart health, measurable performance, and individual lifestyle to develop appropriate, safe, and sustainable exercise guidance.
