Police dismantled a counterfeit clothing warehouse in Rayong operating through live-stream sales, seizing over 6,400 fake branded shirts and pants valued at approximately 2 million baht. On July 9, 2569, Pol. Maj. Gen. Thatphumi Charuprachya ordered a search of a residence and large warehouse in Wang Wa subdistrict, Kraeng district, Rayong, following complaints from trademark representatives about illegal live-stream sales of counterfeit apparel and trademark infringement. The search revealed the residence had been expanded to serve as a storage and packing facility for nationwide distribution, with an additional warehouse located approximately 200 meters away. A female supervisor named Duangjai (surname withheld) coordinated the operation. Officers discovered counterfeit items bearing major brand names including Polo, CCOO, Adidas, H&M, Nike, Manchester United, Puma, Yamaha, Kappa, Gucci, Liverpool, Umbro, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lacoste, Zara, Hermès, and Dior. The total confiscation amounted to 6,455 pieces worth approximately 2 million baht. Under interrogation, Duangjai stated she purchased merchandise from multiple sources for resale profit, employing over 30 workers for sorting, packaging, and distribution. Officers charged her with possessing counterfeit and counterfeit-imitation goods for sale in violation of trademark law. She was turned over to investigators with plans to expand the investigation to identify the property owner and other involved parties.

Thiago Scuro, Monaco's general manager, has acknowledged that Paul Pogba, the World Cup-winning French midfielder, may be sold by the club during the upcoming summer transfer window. Pogba recently returned to professional football last season after joining Monaco in France's Ligue 1 on a two-year contract. However, Scuro has now admitted that the midfielder's future with the club remains uncertain and there is a possibility he could leave this summer. "Yes, of course, he might move away, or he might stay. It's a complex matter," Scuro said. "We respect him first and foremost. When he came here, he helped develop many young players. But truthfully, the project with him hasn't worked out as well as we hoped last season. When we started this plan, we expected something quite different." Pogba continues to struggle with fitness and injury concerns, having played only six matches for Monaco totaling just 115 minutes due to issues including fitness problems and injuries to his ankle, thigh, and calf.

Thai Chicken Exports Face First Decline in 20 Years

China suspended imports from most Thai chicken processing plants after discovering exports exceeded production capacity, marking Thailand's first major export decline in two decades as the market shifts to competitors like Brazil and Russia

Thai Chicken Exports Face First Decline in 20 Years
16h ago Khaosod

Thailand's chicken export industry is reeling from a major setback as China's General Administration of Customs suspended import permissions for chicken pieces and meat from Thai factories after discovering exports exceeded actual production capacity. The action, effective since July 2024, temporarily halts imports from 17 of Thailand's 22 certified processing facilities.

China has dropped from Thailand's largest chicken export market—commanding 37% of exports in 2023—to third place with just 16% market share today. Nearly all of Thailand's chicken exports to China (99.9%) are frozen meat pieces and offal, with only 0.1% fresh chilled chicken. This sharp decline compounds existing challenges from weakened orders and intense price competition.

The Kasikornbank Research Center projects Thailand's frozen and chilled chicken exports will reach $1,255 million in 2025, representing a 13% decline year-on-year. Exports have already fallen 20% in the first five months of 2025. Major markets like Japan and China are expected to remain weak, though Malaysia, South Korea, and Hong Kong show potential growth.

Thailand and China recently approved a new poultry export protocol awaiting formal signature. If Thai factories successfully meet the updated standards, exports may gradually recover. However, Thailand faces tough price competition from rivals like Brazil and Russia, whose prices are roughly 30% lower.

Experts recommend Thailand strengthen digital traceability systems and blockchain technology, enforce stricter production standards, diversify markets to reduce price competition and trade barriers, and shift toward higher-value products like processed and cooked chicken.

England forward Morgan Rogers has stated that the Three Lions must find a way to stop Norway's Erling Haaland before their 2026 World Cup quarterfinal meeting on July 11 (early morning July 12), though he acknowledged it will be a difficult challenge. Rogers explained that England needs to manage the elite striker, who is familiar with top-tier league football and has already scored seven goals in the tournament. "Has anyone ever stopped Erling Haaland? I'm not sure they have, but we'll try," Rogers said in an interview. "He's an incredible player. What he does, the numbers he puts up—you know how good he is. We might have to try to stop the supply getting to him and the chances he creates, because he's so dangerous in front of goal."

Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim has acknowledged making mistakes during his time as head coach of Manchester United at Old Trafford. Amorim recently took over as the new head coach of AC Milan in Serie A Italy, following his dismissal from Manchester United's Premier League post in January after approximately 14 months in charge. In a recent interview, Amorim stated: "It's difficult to explain the mistakes because I need to explain the full context of this recent adventure first." "It's hard to tell you about every mistake. The only thing I can say is that I've learned a lot, and I did make mistakes in some things." "I didn't get the opportunity, and I regret that. As for Manchester United fans, I'm truly proud to have been their coach for a year." "But now it's a different history. There are many things I could have done better from the recent experience, but sometimes that's how it is. You need to learn to find the right point to move to the next level, and I think that's here." "Everyone learns from experience. I've learned a lot. I made some mistakes, and there are many things I'm trying to change, and some things you never change, but I think I'll be a better coach."
