Hyundai Launches Thailand's First Hybrid 11-Seat MPV

Hyundai Mobility Thailand has shaken up the 11-seat MPV market with the introduction of the new Staria Hybrid, Thailand's first and only vehicle in this segment to feature hybrid technology. The Staria Hybrid builds on the model's existing strengths in interior space, comfort, and versatility with a Turbo Hybrid powertrain combining a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 178 horsepower with a 72-horsepower electric motor and a 1.49 kWh hybrid battery, delivering a combined maximum of 242 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and peak torque of 367 Newton-metres from 1,000–4,100 rpm.

The new cabin features premium seating and design improvements for passengers in the second and third rows, supporting everything from family trips to long-distance travel and business use. Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, premium Bose audio with 12 speakers, seven USB Type-C charging points throughout the cabin, and Hyundai Bluelink connectivity for smartphone control. Safety features comprise Hyundai SmartSense technology with 15 driver-assistance systems, surround-view camera, and distance sensors on all sides.

The vehicle is equipped with power sliding doors on both sides and a smart power tailgate for easy entry and cargo management. The suspension features MacPherson Strut front and Multi-link rear, electric power steering, and ventilated disc brakes. Additional conveniences include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear sun shades, eight-way power driver's seat, four ISOFIX child seat anchors, shift-by-wire transmission, and electric parking brake. The Staria Hybrid also incorporates e-Motion Drive technology—a suite of systems including e-Ride for smoother suspension response, e-Handling for cornering precision, e-EHA for evasive manoeuvre control, and e-Traction for improved grip and stability across varied driving conditions.
