SuperToom Sets Thai Flag World Record on Pattaya Beach
Associate Professor Dr. Thanaboon Sirikunakul (SuperToom) led a team that set a world record for the largest Thai flag unfurled during a free‑fall jump over Pattaya Beach. Professor Dr. Krit Jericholawanich of Siriraj Hospital was the first to bring the flag onto the shore during the rehearsal on 7 October. The team plans to attempt to break the record again on 5 December, inviting the public to watch and sing the national anthem.
PATTAYA, 7 October 2069 — Associate Professor Dr. Thanaboon Sirikunakul, aka 'SuperToom', director of the 'One Flag. One Nation. One World Record.' project, led the ONE FLAG THAILAND team in successfully achieving the world record for the largest flag unfurled during a free‑fall jump. The feat was accomplished during a major rehearsal above Pattaya Beach in Chonburi Province, with Professor Dr. Krit Jericholawanich, Dean of the Siriraj Hospital Faculty of Medicine, becoming the first person to bring the Thai flag down onto the beach. This marks the project's first world record, ahead of another attempt to break it again on 5 December.
Participation by Professor Dr. Krit in this mission is part of passing on inspiration and pride through the Thai flag, reflecting the collaborative power of the project members aiming to create a historic moment for Thailand. The skydiving team includes Associate Professor Dr. Thanaboon Sirikunakul (SuperToom), Likhit Wongtrakulphat, Amy McClay, Amy Pailin Watson, Warat Phisalbuth, and Warakon Suksuwan, who have trained continuously to unfurl the Thai flag over Pattaya’s skies and instill pride in Thais.
Behind the mission, key support came from Mr. Paul‑Henry Alexandre, de Baere, and Ms. Nadezhda Solovyeva, who gathered evidence for the record and have backed SuperToom’s three previous world‑record achievements. Training was overseen by Mr. Omar Mohammad, a Dubai‑based world‑record‑holding coach who controls the jumps, together with Mr. Jon Gabriell, jump supervisor and safety expert, ensuring systematic preparation and mission execution.
The success on 7 October stems from the team’s dedication, unity, and cooperation among skydivers and support staff, and serves as a stepping stone toward the next goal: breaking the record they just set themselves on 5 December 2069 at Pattaya Beach. The project invites Thais to be part of this historic moment from 16:00 to 18:00 on 5 December, to watch the record‑breaking attempt, cheer the skydivers, and sing the Thai national anthem together, so that the voices of the people on the ground connect with the flag flying overhead.
