Suthasini Advances to Round of 32 at Asian Games Table Tennis
Thailand's Suthasini Sewatbut advanced to the round of 16 at the Asian Games table tennis competition in Aichi-Nagoya, defeating Lebanon's Talia Azar 4-0, and will next face world number three Miwa Harimoto of Japan.
At the 20th Asian Games table tennis competition in Aichi-Nagoya 2026 on September 23, Thailand's Suthasini Sewatbut defeated Lebanon's Talia Azar 4-0 with scores of 12-10, 11-4, 11-4, and 11-1 to advance from the round of 32. She will next face world number three Miwa Harimoto, an 18-year-old Japanese player. In mixed doubles, Norton Thitipatthra Preechianan and Ploy Kulphatsan defeated Bangladesh's Redoy Mohutasin and Mahi Norrin 3-0 in the round of 32 with scores of 11-4, 11-9, and 11-4, but fell to Hong Kong's Wong Chun Ting and Du Hoi Kiam 0-3 in the round of 16. In another mixed doubles match, Phakkapoom Songwansin and Orawan Phiranang beat Indonesia's Junindra Muhammad and Almeira Nebuchodonezar 3-0 with scores of 11-3, 12-10, and 11-9, before losing to China's world number six pair Lin Shuo Ding and Wei Man 1-3.
