It also considered measures to prevent similar disruptions and evaluated Chai’s management. Chai’s term had been set to run until January 2027. The board appointed former PTT executive Samrit Samniang as acting CEO. Chai previously served as chairman of Thai Smile Airways, chief financial and accounting officer at Thai Airways, and deputy executive vice‑president for finance and accounting. Thai Airways has been recruiting a new CEO, with applications closing on 30 September.
