The Thai Armed Forces Headquarters held a wreath-laying ceremony on April 25 to commemorate the death anniversary of King Naresuan the Great. Supreme Commander General Ukritsadi Buntananond presided over the ceremony, joined by military and civilian government representatives. The ceremony aimed to honor the profound grace and benevolence of King Naresuan the Great toward the Thai people, featuring a blessing ritual at the monarch's monument, wreath-laying at the monument courtyard, and merit-making ceremonies at the Naresuan Hall of the Thai Armed Forces Headquarters.
Numerous civilian government agencies participated, including the Administrative Court, the Office of the Attorney General, the Election Commission, the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Probation, Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, the Metropolitan Police Bureau, the Chaipattana Foundation, the Bangkok Metropolitan Water Works Authority, the Communications Authority of Thailand, and several private financial institutions.
King Naresuan the Great, the 18th monarch of Ayutthaya, reigned for 15 years and is celebrated as a great military strategist whose actions were pivotal in Thai history. He restored Thai independence after the first fall of Ayutthaya and expanded the kingdom's power and influence. His military campaigns and various royal achievements were invaluable contributions to the nation.
