Thai Men's Doubles Reach Asian Games Semis
Sorasak Taosiree and Jirati Chanleang advanced to the men's doubles final at the Asian Games in Nagoya after defeating Japan's top-seeded pair 12-2, 12-8 in the semifinals.
Thailand's men's doubles pair Sorasak Taosiree and Jirati Chanleang competed in tekball at the 20th Asian Games held at Nagoya City Higashi Sport Center on September 17. In the first round, the Thai pair faced Indonesia's Hasni Uba and Mardan Laude Ardin, defeating them 2-0 in sets with scores of 12-3 and 12-10. In the semi-final round, Sorasak and Jirati took on Japan's hosts Takahiro Nodomi and Seya Araai, securing a dominant 2-0 victory with scores of 12-2 and 12-8 to advance to the final. Earlier, Thailand's tekball team coach Rewat Phapatbompu jokingly posted a video reviewing lunch at the competition venue, complaining that staff served small portions and athletes could only choose vegetables from a single menu option.
