Thailand's Tausiri and Jiroti Win Teqball Men's Doubles Gold
Thailand's Tausiri and Jiroti retained their men's doubles teqball gold at the Asian Games in Nagoya, defeating Lebanon's Arabi and Hafez in straight sets as Thailand swept all three medal categories.
The teqball competition at the 20th Asian Games took place at Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center on September 20 in the finals. Thailand's teqball team qualified for the finals in all three categories: mixed doubles, women's doubles, and men's doubles. In men's doubles, defending champions Sorsakchai Tausiri and Jiroti Chanliang faced Ahmad Kassem Arabi and Mohammad Hafez from Lebanon. Sorsakchai and Jiroti did not disappoint Thai fans, decisively defeating their opponents in straight sets with scores of 12-7 and 12-4. The pair successfully claimed the men's doubles gold medal, and Thailand's teqball team swept all three gold medals across the three categories they entered, having previously won gold in women's doubles and mixed doubles.
