Thai karate champion Foam Maneewarnn Butsuwann won silver at the Asian Games in Japan after losing to Kazakhstan's Sofia Berutseva 0-8 in the women's over-68kg final.
Foam Maneewarnn Butsuwann, a Thai karate athlete, competed at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan on September 20 in the women's over-68 kilogram category. Representing Thailand, she advanced to the final where she faced Sofia Berutseva of Kazakhstan. In the championship match, Maneewarnn was unable to overcome Berutseva's strength and lost 0-8, earning the silver medal. The gold medal went to the Kazakhstani competitor.
