Thai authorities deployed enhanced safety patrols at Patong Beach in Phuket, with senior Tourist Police officials promoting security measures and emergency response protocols to reassure domestic and international visitors.
A deputy commander of the Tourist Police led a safety patrol deployment at Patong Beach in Phuket, aimed at building confidence among tourists regarding personal and property security. The ceremony was headed by Police Major General Pongsiam Mee Khun Thong, Deputy Commander of the Tourist Police, alongside several senior officers. The event was attended by Patong Police Station, volunteer tourist police, and lifeguards from Patong Beach.
The deputy commander presented policies to enhance security measures and improve services for tourists, building reassurance and confidence among both domestic and international visitors. Officials promoted the Tourist Police contact channels, including the Thailand Tourist Police mobile application and the emergency hotline 1155.
Coordination also took place with representatives from the National Institute of Emergency Medicine, who inspected lifeguard operations and reviewed water safety protocols and emergency response procedures at Patong Beach. Officials engaged with both Thai and foreign tourists to reinforce confidence and security, and communicated safety guidelines and precautions to prevent incidents among visitors.
