Thai Queen Dazzles Paris in Thai Silk Fashion
Queen Suthida showcased Thai silk elegance during the royal family's Paris visit, wearing two bespoke ensembles by Meshmuseum featuring premium handcrafted textiles and traditional motifs while attending cultural events and exhibitions.
During the Thai royal family's visit to Paris on Tuesday, Queen Suthida displayed remarkable elegance wearing two ensembles crafted from Thai silk. King Maha Vajiralongkorn, Queen Suthida, and Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya laid a wreath at the Arc de Triomphe to honor the Unknown Soldier, then toured Paris City Hall and the Seine riverbanks.
The Queen first wore a dark olive-green Thai silk ensemble by Meshmuseum, made from Luk Tho silk, a premium handcrafted textile distinguished by its soft texture and natural surface knots. The outfit featured a long-sleeved, high-neck jacket with silver-set black spinel buttons paired with a matching A-line skirt, accessorized with a Cattleya orchid brooch, diamond-and-black-spinel earrings, and a silver clutch set with a cabochon sapphire.
Later, the royal party visited the exhibition "La Mode en Majesté – Royal Thai Dress: From Tradition to Modernity" at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, where the Queen changed into a gold-brocaded silk coat dress also by Meshmuseum. Inspired by the Himmapan Forest from Thai cultural heritage, the fitted coat dress featured intricate sequin embroidery and gold buttons, worn over a matching gold-brocade silk dress and completed with garnet earrings and a Thai Yan Lipao basketry handbag decorated with garnets in the traditional Pra Jum Yam radial star-flower motif.
The Queen's appearances once again highlighted Thailand's exceptional textile craftsmanship on the international stage, elegantly blending traditional motifs with contemporary style against the backdrop of Paris.
