Thai Singer Farida Hospitalized With Premature Labor Signs at 33 Weeks

Singer Farida Haitongkam was working and livestreaming when she suddenly experienced severe abdominal pain and showed signs of premature labor at 33 weeks of pregnancy. Doctors administered medication to delay delivery and kept her under observation for 48 hours. Other mothers who experienced premature labor shared their experiences in the comments.

Farida's expected due date was around November 2026, but recently she posted a video from her hospital bed saying: "I was still working this afternoon and livestreaming tonight when suddenly I started having frequent contractions and my abdomen tightened. I told my manager to take me to the hospital. The pain is severe. The doctor said I'm experiencing premature labor, so they gave me an injection to help develop the baby's lungs. I'm shaking and trembling. I'm sharing this so everyone knows what happened, but don't worry—I'm in good hands and both my baby and I are safe."

She later posted again saying she was able to sit up and eat rice porridge, adding: "The doctor is not allowing delivery yet because I'm only at 33 weeks and 2 days. If the baby were born now, she would need to stay in an incubator, so they're delaying labor and I have to stay under the doctor's care for 48 hours."
