Thai Volleyball Coach Reveals Sacred Amulets Carried to Championship
Thailand's women's volleyball coach revealed he carried sacred amulets including blessed beads from Nepal during the recent Asian Championship, crediting the talismans with helping the team achieve victory.
At 11:40 a.m. on September 3 at Government House, Coach Atthapol Krutmuang disclosed the sacred talismans he brought to the women's national volleyball team's meeting with the Prime Minister. The items included blessed wooden prayer beads obtained from a temple in Nepal and auspicious wooden beads from Thailand, which he carried during the recent Asian Women's Volleyball Championship. He stated that he offered prayers to King Naresuan and King Taksin, and during the final championship match, observers saw him raising his hands in prayer. He emphasized that those who make a vow must fulfil it, and credited the sacred objects with bringing success to the team.
