Police have closed the loop on the case involving Sompon, a former rescue volunteer, who drove a pickup truck bearing a foundation charity sticker and rammed a Honda motorcycle, killing his ex-girlfriend and her new partner on Ratchadaphisek Road near the Armed Forces Support Department, Bangkok's Bang Sue district. On September 3rd, Prachaen Police Station Commander Sakdidet Kumpanuwong convened a meeting to track case developments. Initial investigations show that relatives of both victims have been interviewed, though questioning of the suspect has not yet been possible as he remains hospitalized at Kasemrad Prachaen Hospital with a punctured lung and is being transferred to Police Hospital. Investigators gathered evidence including closed-circuit camera footage that captured the pickup truck pursuing the motorcycle over a considerable distance, suggesting possible premeditated homicide. Formal charges against the suspect are pending completion of evidence collection. Additionally, reports indicate that about two days prior to the fatal incident, Sompon had also rammed the motorcycle shop of the victims' mother, causing significant damage, and subsequently posted pictures of the deceased on Facebook.
