Thailand's world-ranked 13th team faced South Korea, ranked 28th globally, in the bronze medal playoff after both teams fell in the semifinals — Thailand losing to China 2-3 and South Korea losing to hosts Japan 0-3. The Thai side proved superior throughout, winning decisively 3-0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-23, securing their second consecutive Asian Games bronze medal. According to Thailand's National Sports Development Fund, athletes winning medals at the 2026 Asian Games receive prize money of 2 million baht for gold, 1 million baht for silver, and 500,000 baht for bronze.
