Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his wife announced the success of the 74-day, 74-million-calorie fitness project honoring His Majesty's 74th birthday, celebrating the promotion of health, economic development, and social stability through nationwide exercise. The official ceremony took place on August 9, 2025, at Suphachalasai Stadium in Pathumwan, Bangkok, with Anutin and Health Minister Pattana Pronprasoet presiding alongside senior government officials and the public.
Participants engaging through the "Kaothachai" platform burned a total of 153 million calories, significantly exceeding the 74-million-calorie target. Anutin emphasized that the campaign reflects His Majesty's royal dedication to physical fitness and wellness as a foundation for national development. He stressed that promoting exercise is not merely a health policy but a national development strategy that strengthens the economy and social security in the long term.
The Prime Minister called for expanding safe infrastructure—including walkways, cycling paths, public parks, and community sports facilities—to enable all citizens across every province and municipality to exercise conveniently. He commended the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, and all partnering organizations for driving the project to success, urging Thai society to embrace physical activity as a daily lifestyle habit that builds both physical and mental well-being.
