Thailand Invests 4.8 Billion Baht to Train 76,000 Skilled Workers
Thailand has approved 108 investment projects worth 4.8 billion baht to modernize businesses and train 76,000 skilled workers in advanced technology, automation, and AI across agriculture, manufacturing, and electronics sectors.
Thailand's Board of Investment has approved support for 108 new investment promotion projects worth over 4.8 billion baht, combining business modernization and workforce development initiatives. Under the Business Transformation program, 48 projects will help Thai entrepreneurs adopt advanced technology, automation, digital systems, and AI, while the Skill Bridge program will train 10,180 workers through 7 new projects. When combined with previously approved initiatives, a total of 42 Skill Bridge projects will develop 76,728 skilled workers across target industries including agriculture, food processing, biotechnology, electronics, and automotive manufacturing.
The 66 Business Transformation projects currently approved are expected to generate approximately 3.9 billion baht in annual revenue for entrepreneurs and boost domestic procurement of raw materials, parts, and services by over 7.1 billion baht yearly, while creating around 1,500 jobs at both operational and technical levels. The initiatives prioritize training in AI engineering, automation, robotics, advanced engineering, and research and development to support technology transfer and upskill Thai workers toward advanced and smart manufacturing, with knowledge expected to reach over 3,800 supply chain partners nationwide.
