Thailand Opens Flood Relief Registration in 65 Provinces and Bangkok
Thailand’s disaster agency has opened flood‑relief registration today through the Thang Rat app and local offices, covering 65 provinces and Bangkok for floods from mid‑May to end‑September 2025. Assistance will be provided under four criteria, with a one‑time payment per household for qualifying residents.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) announced the opening of flood relief registration for residents affected by flooding between May 15 and September 30, 2025, covering 65 provinces plus Bangkok. Applicants can submit their requests via the Thang Rat mobile app starting October 2, 2025 at 08:00, or in person at local administrative offices or district offices in Bangkok. Assistance is granted under four Cabinet‑approved criteria: residence flooded seven days or less with property damage; continuous flooding exceeding seven days; residence surrounded by water making normal life impossible for over seven days; and high‑rise buildings where floodwaters do not reach the resident’s floor but normal life remains disrupted for more than seven days. Aid is a one‑time payment per household, covering registered homes, rental units (with the tenant receiving the payment), and other residences even without a house registration, provided the area has been declared a disaster zone.
