Nearly ten thousand fans traveled from across Thailand on August 11 to attend the funeral of Hulunn Solo at his home in Samoed District, Kalasin Province. At 12:40 p.m., family members began transporting his body to Rangsichatchawal Temple for the cremation ceremony, placing his treasured yellow backpack—his first travel bag purchased during his university years—at the front of an elaborately decorated pickup truck. Thousands of family members, fans, neighbors, and students walked the nearly one-kilometer route in solemn procession, with many relatives and admirers weeping throughout the journey.
At the temple entrance, organizers displayed photographs from Hulunn's travels to various countries, which drew crowds amazed at his courage and ability to travel with minimal resources to dangerous destinations. Fan clubs and neighbors also provided food and drinking water for attendees. At 2:00 p.m., Suwat Khemthanepeach, the Kalasin Provincial Governor, arrived to preside over the ceremony alongside local government officials, community health volunteers, and nearly ten thousand mourners in a solemn atmosphere.
Marti Prompti, 61, a fan from Sisaket Province, expressed that seeing his travel photographs moved her deeply, noting his remarkable journey from childhood poverty to achieving his dreams through determination and dedication. She reflected that his story was inspiring—a young man who never strayed from his path, set clear life goals, and pursued his dreams fearlessly. Another fan, Ratbongkoch Kamphuchum from Maha Sarakham, praised Hulunn as a role model for young people seeking to showcase their work through YouTube, impressed by his fearless approach to life and travel.
Before the main ceremony, performers conducted tribute activities, including a traditional Thai dance performance by artist Weerapong Silp and students from Somdet Phitayakom School. Fan club representatives eulogized Hulunn Solo as a legend of dream-chasers—a courageous young man and exemplary figure of gratitude in Thai society. The ceremony was presided over by Governor Suwat Khemthanepeach and Vorchaida Khemthanepeach, president of the Kalasin Red Cross, along with government officials and nearly ten thousand fans and community members. Despite the hot weather, mourners reported a cool breeze passing through the temple during the procession, which moved many attendees emotionally.
