On November 3, 2026, the TMD released Announcement No. 4 (287/2569) detailing severe weather for upper Thailand and heavy to very heavy rain for the South from November 5–9. From November 5–7, upper Thailand will experience thunderstorms, strong gusts, hail, and isolated heavy rain, impacting the Northeast first, followed by the North, Central (including Bangkok), and East regions. Residents are urged to avoid open areas, large trees, and unstable billboards. From November 7–9, the South will see increased rainfall with heavy to very heavy downpours, raising the risk of flash floods and forest runoff, especially in foothills near waterways and low-lying areas. A high-pressure system from China is driving strong easterly winds across Thailand and the Gulf, causing waves over 2 meters in the Andaman Sea and Gulf during thunderstorms. Mariners should exercise caution and avoid sailing in stormy areas. The TMD advises the public to plan travel carefully and monitor updates via www.tmd.go.th, 0-2399-4012-13, or 1182 (24 hours). The next announcement is scheduled for November 3 at 5:00 PM.
