Toyota Halts Production at Three Thai Plants Due to Flooding
Toyota Thailand will stop production at its three plants in Samut Prakan, Chachoengsao and Chonburi from October 5‑10, 2026 due to flooding that has disrupted parts supply. The halt aims to protect workers and maintain quality while the company works with suppliers to resume operations quickly. Toyota pledged to keep customers informed and minimize any impact on vehicle deliveries.
Toyota Thailand issued a statement explaining that the temporary suspension of production at the Samut Prakan, Ban Pho and Gateway plants is necessary because flood‑affected areas have hindered the shipment of components. The automaker emphasized that safety and quality remain its top priorities, and it is coordinating with parts manufacturers to expedite deliveries, manage inventory and adjust logistics. Toyota affirmed that the pause will not compromise standards, and it will inform customers promptly of any changes to vehicle delivery dates through dealers.
