Man Recently Released from Prison Arrested for Motorcycle Theft
A man recently released from prison was arrested for stealing a side-car motorcycle after the village headman monitored his behaviour and traced the bike to his residence. Police seized the motorcycle and a urine test showed purple, indicating methamphetamine use. The suspect confessed to both the theft and drug use.
At 1:40 p.m. on 2 October 2026, Police Lieutenant Phunsak Phrawong and Deputy Inspector Utthai Thongsong of the Kanchanadit Police Station, together with Village Head Paisal Tokattee and Assistant Village Head Adisak Hasalem, arrested Chana, 39, for stealing a Honda Wave 110i side-car motorcycle (blue-black, Surat Thani registration). The village head had been watching Chana since his release from prison; after neighbours reported the missing motorcycle, police found it parked outside his house. A urine test revealed a purple colour, confirming methamphetamine use. Chana admitted to the theft and drug consumption, and was handed over to investigators for charges of night-time theft (or receiving stolen property) and drug abuse.
