Two Gunmen Kill 31-Year-Old Outside Bangkok Cannabis Shop
Two gunmen opened fire on a 31-year-old man outside a cannabis shop in Bangkok, striking him five times and killing him before escaping on a motorcycle. Police arrived after receiving an emergency call at 1:00 a.m. and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the attackers.
The incident occurred at the entrance of community 329, a two‑story commercial building with several units; the cannabis shop occupied unit five and was surrounded by trees. The victim, identified as Mr. Wirun (surname withheld), age 31, was found lying face up, unconscious. Emergency responders performed CPR for about thirty minutes but he died. Gunshot wounds were found in his left wrist, right thigh, right side of the torso, abdomen, and left under the breast – a total of five bullets.
Near the body, a table with cannabis paraphernalia was discovered; about five meters away lay the victim’s blue off‑road motorcycle without a license plate. Police on patrol reported seeing two suspicious youths on a white Honda Click motorcycle, one wearing a full‑face helmet and the other a half helmet, who sped off toward Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
A friend, Nat (age 30, surname withheld), said the victim regularly visited the cannabis shop daily; he arrived on his off‑road bike at 10:00 p.m., then wandered around before the attack. Around his second lap, two gunmen on a white Honda Click pulled up and fired more than ten shots at the victim alone; friends fled inside the shop.
After the shooting stopped, they found the victim lying in a pool of blood, unconscious, and called for help. The perpetrators remain unknown as the victim had no known conflicts. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.
